Department of the Month
Alliance Community Hospital’s Department of the Month is Colleague Relations.
This small department is made up of four very important Colleagues, each of whom provide service to Colleagues and customers regarding ACH. They work with everyone from Resource to Management. Combined, this group has over 100 years of experience.
The department specializes in a number of services for Colleagues. This includes benefit packages, recruitment of new Colleagues, retention of current Colleagues and recognition programs. They also are in charge of implementing new policies and procedures.
The department agreed that what they like best about working at ACH are the Colleagues, the family atmosphere, the new campus, ACH’s patient centered care philosophy and customer service.
Colleague Relations makes every effort to accommodate Colleagues throughout the organization, whether it be suggestions or concerns. Although they wish they could accommodate everyone and everything that comes across their desks, they are not always able to implement new policies immediately and encourage more Colleagues to continue their input.
As of late February, Colleague Relations moved from the upstairs office next to Conference Room 1-B, to the former location of Materials Management on the basement level. When one of the doctors needed an office space, this group, in true Planetree fashion, quickly packed up and relocated.
