Alliance Community Hospital to Host Community Health Fair
On Wednesday, August, 15, 2007, <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />AllianceCommunityHospital will be hosting a Community Health Fair in honor of â€œCarnation Days in the Park.â€

The Health Fair will be held from 8 a.m. â€“ 4 p.m. in conference room 1-A, located on the first floor of the hospital off of the CafÃ©.
Along with a number of educational materials, the following health screenings will also be available: Blood Pressure Screenings, Osteoporosis Screening, Glaucoma Screenings and virtual reality 3-D Glaucoma exhibit. Information on Smoking Cessation, Sleep Apnea, Medication Safety, OTC Labeling, Infection Control, Nutrition and Heart Disease will be available.
â€œIn keeping with our Planetree Philosophy, we strive to provide the community with health and wellness related information and tools,â€ said Wendy Tabellion, CTRS Planetree Advisor/ Educator. â€œOur Healthy Communities Team focuses on providing resources through health fairs, the speaker's bureau, and the HealthCaringResourceCenter.â€
On Thursday, August 16, 2007, community members are also invited to join members of AllianceCommunityHospital in a Labyrinth Walk & Talk. This event will give people the opportunity to learn the history of the labyrinth, how to properly utilize it and enjoy walking it with others.
