Alliance Community Hospital to Continue Fresh Start Program
Thanks to a renewed grant provided by the American Cancer Society, <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />AllianceCommunityHospital is pleased to announce it will continue to offer Fresh Start, a free, four- week smoking cessation program.

Fresh Start is tailored to individuals with busy lifestyles that are serious about quitting tobacco use.
According to B.j. Hatton, coordinator of Cardio-Pulmonary Services at ACH, the department is excited to be able to continue to provide this service to the community.
â€œWe have seen some great results and excellent quit rates since first initiating the program,â€ said Hatton. â€œThis gives us the opportunity to continue to build upon our success by being able to extend the program to more people in the community.â€
She said many people that would like to quit, but just cannot do it alone.
â€œThe program is a way for people to get the individualized treatment and attention they need to help them to be successful,â€ she said. â€œThe facilitators put a lot of time and effort into assisting participants to overcome their obstacles.â€
The next four-week session will start Wednesday, April 11 from 5 â€“ 6 p.m. and will be held in conference room 1-B, located on the first floor of the hospital.
Limit is 10 per class and includes free nicotine replacement patches.
