Now available on the ACH website, www.achosp.org under the Community Report Card banner are downloadable PDF forms providing the hospital's most recent quality data, which is made available through its membership with the Ohio Hospital Association.
"One of the goals for us as a Planetree Affiliate is to demystify the healthcare experience for our patients. We feel that one way of doing this is to give our patients the most accurate, up-to-date information possible about our clinical performance," said Kerry Swanson, Chief Operating Officer of ACH.
Information on ACH protocols, operations and function versus state and national benchmarks in areas such as Congestive Heart Failure, Heart Attack Care and Infection Control are available.
“By posting quality data on our webpage, we publicly track our progress in several areas, which helps patients understand our commitment to continually improving inpatient care, outpatient care and community education efforts, to name a few,†said Sue Feller, Director of Clinical Quality and Colleague Health.
“We are particularly proud of our efforts in inpatient Pneumonia care, an area in which we well exceed state and national averages,†Feller said.
ACH Chief Executive Officer Stan Jonas said the hospital is working hard to be at the leading edge of healthcare transparency efforts.
“We are committed to giving our consumers as much clear, concise information as possible and publication of our quality indicators is just one more step in that process,†said Jonas.
“Whether it's a matter of billing or quality or educational information, keeping our patients informed is a priority. We will never stop trying to better inform healthcare consumers, just as we will constantly strive for improved programs and services,†he said.
