Alliance Community Hospital Awarded HFAP Accreditation
Alliance Community Hospital has been awarded accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), an independent, recognized accreditation authority.
ACH earned this distinction in August of 2011, after HFAP conducted an extensive and objective review of the hospital’s quality and safety standards.
“Alliance Community Hospital clearly demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care,” said Michael Zarski, CEO of
HFAP. “We base our decision on federal standards, patient safety and treatment, quality improvement, and environmental safety. ACH met or exceeded standards in every case.”
“We’re proud to achieve this prestigious distinction,” said Stan Jonas, FACHE & CEO of ACH. “By awarding us accreditation, the HFAP has recognized our commitment to providing outstanding care to our patients and our community. In fact, quality is consistently the priority focus in our strategic plans and goals.”
“This is the culmination of a long process of achieving quality excellence across our service lines and throughout our hospital system,” said Susan Feller, BSN, CPHQ, LNC, and Director of Organizational Quality at ACH.
“Our entire staff has worked tirelessly to achieve this pinnacle of quality measurement. It reflects our dedication to multidisciplinary standards of care and service,” she said.
Feller explained that, as Ohio’s only PLANETREE hospital, excellence in quality and patient-centered care protocols are ACH’s top priority.
“Providing clinically excellent care in a safe, soothing and compassionate healing environment is our mission. Every patient is everyone’s patient in this hospital and we leave no stone unturned in our quest to constantly continue improving our high service standards,” Feller said.
