ACH Foundation Gifts Area Non-Profits
On Thursday, September 8th, the Alliance Community Hospital Foundation presented two checks for $10,000 each; one to the Alliance Family YMCA and the other to the Alliance Neighborhood Center. These monies were raised through the ACH Foundation’s Annual Charity Golf Classic, which benefits four local not-for-profit agencies. This year’s event was held on June 20th and featured celebrity co-host Larry Kehres, head football coach for the University of Mount Union.
“We’re so pleased that we were able to partner with UMU in order to help offer financial assistance to many in the community who are in most need,” said Stan Jonas, FACHE and CEO of Alliance Community Hospital.
Dale Nissley, Executive Director of the Alliance Family YMCA gratefully acknowledged the help. “This is a tremendous donation and the Y is so appreciative to the hospital Foundation for helping us year after year as we continue to try assist so many people in our own hometown who many need help in receiving some of the services they need.”
The ACH Foundation Charity Golf Classic raised $40,000, which is being equally distributed between the local YMCA, the ANC, the Alliance Area Development Foundation, and the Stark County Interagency Council on Homelessness. SCICH received their check in late August and AADF will receive theirs at an upcoming organizational meeting.
“These are the types of things that make it all worthwhile. It’s giving back to the community that matters most,” said Chuck Moore, RFC® and a Financial Advisor with Perry Reghetti & Associates, who is also former standout from the Mount Union football team. Moore represented Coach Kehres at the check presentation Thursday morning.
